Vancouver Island’s Long Beach named one of the world’s top long beaches

Vancouver Island’s Long Beach has earned international recognition, landing on NDTV Travel’s list of the world’s most remarkable long beaches.

At about 16 kilometres long, Long Beach is shorter than some of the other entries, but the publication highlighted its dramatic open views and expansive sand plains. The beach lies within Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and is part of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

NDTV noted the area for its storm-watching seasons, misty mornings, and vibrant surf culture.

NDTV is a leading global news network from India, delivering reporting, in-depth analysis, and storytelling across television and digital platforms for more than three decades.

The global list also featured Praia do Cassino in Brazil, the world’s longest continuous beach at roughly 254 kilometres, as well as Ninety Mile Beach in Australia, Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, Padre Island National Seashore in the United States, and Ninety Mile Beach in New Zealand.

NDTV said these beaches showcase natural beauty, cultural experiences, and outdoor activities such as long walks, surfing, and wildlife spotting.

“These long, quiet shores remind us how peaceful and powerful nature can be,” noted NDTV.
