A critical exit from Highway 99 northbound to the Steveston Highway in Richmond is closed as crews respond to a damaged power pole.
Traffic is currently blocked at the intersection. Congestion was heavy through the George Massey Tunnel, but has started to ease throughout the morning.
Commuters travelling through Highway 99 northbound should favor the counter-flow lane.
The next available offramp from Highway 99 north into Richmond is at Westminster Highway.
If far enough away, drivers can take the Alex Fraser Bridge to avoid delays.
